Over 60% of UK consumers think that Estate Agents’ Photos Are Very Poor To Average

A recent survey* by dedicated property photo experts, Doctor Photo, has highlighted that 63 per cent of people believe estate agents’ photos are ‘very poor’ to ‘average’. At a time when, according to Zoopla, 90 per cent of property searches start online, eye catching photography has never been more important to property marketing or to estate agency brands.

Tom Durrant from Doctor-Photo.co.uk, says“Our survey shows that despite a plethora of professional photographers and a step-change in technology available to Estate Agents, there is a vast space left for improvement in the way agents present their houses to the market in the UK.”

Tom runs his family business Doctor Photo with John Durrant; Author of the RICS Guide to Property Photography and ex-estate agent-come leading country house photographerDoctor-Photo.co.uk is the one-stop shop for estate agents across UK & Europe who need a cost-effective solution to ensure their average photography becomes awesome. Agents and photographers upload their photographs to Doctor Photo, and receive them back in a matter of hours with blue skies, improved colours, straightened, fixed exposure, lifted shadows and where asked, objects removed.

Tom continues: “At a time when some property experts are predicting a slow year for the housing market and with low stock levels up and down the country, it’s never been more important to ensure a house stands out from the crowd. The key for 2017 is to grab the attention of buyers looking on the property portals; agents can do that with stunning photography." Little do people know that around 30% of the quality of a photo comes from post-processing and that this stage is vital in creating the wow factor and a quality look with digital photographs. “Our service isn’t unlike that of a digital artist working on a top fashion shoot – except that we must stay inside of the law” says Tom. Post-processing can transform the way a property is presented, taking it from grey and boring to bright and punchy; helping capture more leads, enhance a property’s perceived value and improve an agency’s own brand image.

From £1 per photo and with a 2 hour fast-track service, Estate Agents can upload their own photos and Doctor Photo will enhance them, add blue skies, and with their ‘Digital Surgery’ service, remove objects.

Doctor Photo offers four main packages for estate agents:
