The hybrid Mr and Mrs Clarke agency has a new partner covering North Norfolk and Norwich.

David Lowes joins the business following years of working around the world for prestigious conglomerates including Samsung, where he spent three years as chief marketing officer for Europe.

David’s pivot into estate agency is inspired by his long-time love of property and he says: “I look forward to seeing how my extensive sales and marketing experience from my first career can help contribute to the success of my second.”

Another hybrid operation, Spicerhaart, has named Matt Barrett to oversee and grow its estate agency businesses in Wales and South West England.

Matt, who already works for the firm, has most recently had responsibility for Darlows branches in Wales and Haart branches from Swindon to Plymouth.

“Spicerhaart is taking some of the best elements of the High Street model and integrating them with a more online hybrid model. It’s really exciting the way they are blending superb technology with high-quality personal interaction” he says.

There can’t be many places better than the Channel Islands to be working during the summer, so we’re envious that Oliver Rodbourne has become Knight Frank’s head of residential sales there.

Oliver’s career in residential property began in London, where he worked as a sales negotiator for over a decade, before moving to Knight Frank in 2015 to lead the National Country Department’s South East team.

In his new role, Oliver will oversee the prime markets across all the Channel Islands, with particular focus on Guernsey and Jersey, and he says: “It’s already been a busy start to the new role, and I’m pleased to report that, alongside Wilsons, our associate in Jersey,  we’ve been instructed on a landmark sale which will be coming to the market very soon.”

As we reported recently, online agency Yopa has a veteran appointment as its new commercial director - Peter Everett

He has almost 40 years of experience in estate agency, including 25 years with LSL and a decade at Hamptons where he became head of sales and for a time acted as business development director.

Of his new role, Peter says: “ I’m very excited to join Yopa at this stage in their evolution, and hope that my diverse industry experience can help to further substantially grow the business.

“I’m a huge believer that technology can be a force for good in the estate agency industry and this, combined with continued high levels of personalised customer service, will enable Yopa to further cement itself as one of the most trusted and recognised brands for UK home movers.”

Agency and consultancy Carter Jonas has a new appointment too - Rohan Shiram, who will be the new head of sustainability.

He joins from WeWork, where he was director of energy, sustainability and social impact. He’ll now be in charge of the agency’s own sustainability targets and advising on sustainability aspects for clients.

That’s it for this week: do please keep us updated with your latest appointments, and we’ll let the industry know in our next update later in July.

Until then…
