Property Jobs Today - the latest movers and shakers

Even at the height of summer (or the British wet season, as some call it) there are substantial numbers of job moves.

Before we head into this week’s moves, a reminder to please let us know of your new appointments: just drop an email to press@estateagenttoday.co.uk and we’ll tell the industry.

Let’s begin with Zoopla, where Sam Fletcher - already with the portal in an interim capacity - now joins full time as an executive finance director, reporting to chief executive Charlie Bryant.

Coming from a non-property career background, Sam says: “Zoopla is uniquely positioned to grow with its leading portal and software services combined with industry-leading data. I’m really excited about supporting our efforts to re-imagine intelligent home decisions for all and partnering with agents for the long-term as we help them grow their businesses.”

Next up this week we have the new branch partner at the haart agency in Clacton, Jamie Wass.

He’s worked in the industry for almost 20 years and says: “I’ve been waiting my whole career to be able to have a branch close to home that I can help nurture and develop using both my industry and local knowledge.

“I believe that a great estate agent cares about the area and the people as much as the market, and my passion for my local area helps me in being able to give great advice to clients as well as help develop the team.”

Now over to the Search Partnership, a buying agency already operating with founders Toby Millbank, who’s ex-Strutt & Parker, and Tom Robinson, formerly of Knight Frank.

They have now recruited Edgar Seligman to head up commercial property, and Blair Wallace to run land management. Combined, these activities will now form The Property Partnership.

There’s a new appointment, too, at residential property consultancy Ringley Group which has named Anthony Kingdon as a director to head up its operations in Wales.

He says: “I’ve been aware of Ringley Group for many years having previously worked with [founder] Mary-Anne Bowman in a previous role. I’m really excited to be working with the established team at Ringley going forward, and with their industry-leading bespoke property management software. Their openness and transparent approach to block management services are excellent and I look forward to working with new and existing clients across the UK, mainly in Cardiff and Coventry.”

Up north to Leeds where just two months after opening a new office, city agent HOP has expanded its team with six new appointments.

Rich Hare joins as sales manager while Lucy Beddard has been appointed as a senior sales negotiator. In addition, Luke Parkin and Charlotte Sinclair have both joined HOP’s lettings division as property managers and will be responsible for overseeing their own lettings portfolios.

Jon Vickers has also joined the lettings team to carry out rental viewings, and finally marketing executive Abi Morgan has been appointed and is responsible for planning and executing initiatives including community engagement, sponsorship and digital marketing.

Finally this week, on to PropTech and three new members of the advisory board for Coadjute, a digital network about to begin a national roll-out.

Elizabeth Chambers serves on the boards of TSB Bank, Provident Financial Group, and Tilney Smith & Williamson.

Graham Felstead was for many years the head of intermediary mortgages at RBS/NatWest Bank and is widely known across the mortgage broking industry.

And Michael Day is a high profile property industry advisor, mentor and trainer with over 900 estate agency clients as managing director of Integra Property Services.

Well that’s it for this week - an impressive selection of movers and shakers for early August. We’ll be back before the end of the month with more news on the appointments front, so until then…
