TODAY'S OTHER NEWS

Property Jobs Today - the latest movers and shakers

We are on the threshold in December with the pandemic still dominating but we’re delighted there is still positive jobs news to share with the industry.

If you have information to pass on, please email press@estateagenttoday.co.uk and you could feature in one of our Monday jobs updates. Thank you.

Now let’s begin with Knight Frank which has appointed Mel Constantinou as regional lettings partner for south west London and the Home Counties.

Mel began her career at Foxtons in 1997, rising from lettings negotiator in the Battersea office, to running the St John’s Wood and South Kensington offices, and most recently she was training negotiators and managers across the business.

“I look forward to taking the region and the talent within to the next level and building on its current success” she says.

The ongoing reshaping of the Haart agency empire continues with the appointment of Liam Hancox as its director for the East Midlands and Yorkshire area.

Liam, 40, joined the industry 17 years ago, spending time as a mortgage advisor before switching to agency and working his way up to regional director and then moving to Haart.

“I’m really impressed by the quality of the people I’m working with. We’re still recruiting outstanding partners and brilliant staff at our property centres and branches” he says.

Now to the Cotswolds where buying agency Middleton Advisors has appointed Gemma Maclaran as the lead for that area.

Gemma, who grew up in the Cotswolds, joined Middleton in 2018, initially working across regions, from the London office.

She explains: “We’ve seen the trend for private, off-market sales increase recently. This year, up to 80 per cent of our transactions have been for private sales, and we are assuming that proportion may even go up further still.”

To the north we go and news that the Venmore Group has appointed Colin Onborg as an assistant branch manager, just three months after joining the company.

“We already have a great team here and my aim is to make sure we are providing excellent customer service to all of our clients daily, whilst becoming the agent of choice for homeowners thinking about moving in the local area” states Colin.

The Venmore Group is the north west’s largest group of independent estate agents with three brands across Wirral, Liverpool and Southport including Venmores, Bradshaw Farnham & Lea and Ball & Percival.

Carter Jonas has been busy promoting staff with a raft of residential successes.

David Ruddock, Kim Bays and Tessa Clarke have been made partners in London.

New associate partners in London and Cambridge are Isabelle Branson, Igor Simonov, Stephanie Waddelow, Kirstie Watts and Sasha McNally

Associates just named by the company’s residential division are Lois Power, Will Butler, George Hunt, Emily Hussey and Jessica Chalmers.

“Before Homesearch, I had never been exposed to business-to-business operations before, but I have found myself thoroughly enjoying the responsibilities” he explains.

“While he did not have agency experience prior to joining Homesearch, Dan has been part of the business for almost two years and has seen the platform develop from its infancy” says the company.
