TODAY'S OTHER NEWS

Property Jobs Today - new jobs, new people, new companies,…

Hello and as it’s Monday it’s PJT Day - and there are plenty of people moving jobs in our industry even with the current concerns affecting the spring sales market.

You know the drill by now : if there are staff changes in your firm or branch, please let us know on: press@estateagenttoday.co.uk and include images too.

Let’s start, unusually, with the industry’s favourite awards, the ESTAS, where Ben Marley has been appointed as sales director.

Ben’s a familiar face to many as he comes from Feefo where he was head of property, being a regular commentator on the agency and reviews sectors.

ESTAS founder Simon Brown says: “We’re thrilled to be able to bring Ben onboard with us, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from the customer review industry, he will be able to advise us and help our agents utilise their feedback through the ESTAS platform.”

And Ben himself adds: “I’m really excited to join ESTAS and the opportunity to offer the property industry an unrivalled offering combining both a customer review platform and the most respected industry awards based on customer feedback giving the public far more transparency than ever.”

To Chelmsford now, where Savills has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of Alex Leigh to lead its new homes department.

Alex joins the company as a director having previously spent 13 years working for Foxtons estate agents in London.

“Savills has an outstanding reputation and I’m looking forward to being part of a very experienced team."

"It will be nice to be working closer to home but it’s also a very exciting time for the new homes market – particularly around Chelmsford and wider Essex” he says.

-

Next stop is Somerset, where the local three-office agency Gibbins Richards has new owners - former staff members Ben Grant and Nick Girone-Maddocks

They live locally and have 50 years combined in the industry.

-

Now to Bournemouth where residential block management specialist Rebbeck Brothers has appointed a hugely experienced new property manager - James Hall.

He’s spent almost five years working in the property management sector with two other local firms and says: “Rebbeck Brothers very much does everything in what I consider to be the right way, which in my opinion is the only way to run a business."

"My first few weeks have been particularly busy in dealing with the results of a number of storms and helping our tenants in the best and most professional way.”

Next up is news of three industry veterans joining the advisory board of PropTech firm Yourkeys.

Property Jobs Today - new jobs, new people, new companies,…One is Dominic Grace, who has spent 35 years with Savills and now heads up the agency’s London residential development team. “I immediately realised that it was a genuine game-changer for the increasingly clunky and needlessly time-consuming way that residential property transactions are processed” he says of his new firm’s product.

Property Jobs Today - new jobs, new people, new companies,…Another advisor at the firm is Mark Witherspoon, who created automated valuation models and led Hometrack and CoreLogic as chief executive before becoming data services director at Zoopla for 10 years.

Property Jobs Today - new jobs, new people, new companies,…Finally, there’s Redrow’s former group sales and marketing director - Dave Bexon - who says: “The Yourkeys technology is a step ahead of anything else in the industry."

"For a long time, we’ve needed a solution that connects all the stakeholders in the supply chain."

-

And finally this week another PropTech firm - Homesearch - has a slew of new joiners.

Charlene Palmer joins as business development manager after 10 years at Zoopla; Simon Gates joins in a similar position after 13 years with Michael Graham.

Another BDM is Topsy Taiwo, who spent six years at Foxtons; Eliza Thornton leaves Paramount Properties to become a business development executive, while Amy Sandes - formerly in customer service at Waterstones - joins as relationship manager.
