Watchdog intervenes over agency’s portal advertising claim

The Advertising Standards Authority has intervened after receiving a complaint about a website and online advertisement for the Howard Cundey agency.

The firm has offices in London, Surrey, Sussex and Kent. The complaint objected to the advertisement which was titled ‘Four Ways to Sell’.

It apparently stated that properties listed for sale with the agency could be advertised on Zoopla - however, the complainant said that in the case of her property it was not listed on the portal.

A spokesperson for the ASA told EAT: “The advertiser [agent] agreed to remove any references on the website that would suggest they advertise properties featured on www.howardcundey.com on Zoopla.”
