In the meantime, here’s this week’s update.

Magic Moments: Spicerhaart’s charity, set up to help children with life-limiting illnesses and their families and providing support at 12 hospices across England and Wales, has a new website.

It showcases the wide range of fundraising activities the charity gets involved in throughout the year. Its features include a target ‘thermometer’ that shows users how the charity is progressing towards its £100,000 fundraising goal for the year. In addition to helping hospices buy essential equipment, these funds are used to arrange annual trips for families to Disneyland Paris.

Web design consultancy Redweb built the site and also supports the charity’s fundraising activity, most recently acting as a sponsor of its London 2 Brighton bike ride.

Magic Moments was founded in 1998 by Alick Smith, the then chairman of Spicerhaart, and his wife Val. The charity has raised in excess of £1m since then and the new website can be seen on www.magicmomentscharity.co.uk.

Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service: Forget about the Bake Off, it’s all about the Bald Off at Romans. Two brave employees at the company HQ agreed to shave off all of their hair to raise funds for the hospice, which Romans has supported for several years.

Barry Wild, Operations Director, and Thomas Bowman, Senior Move Consultant, agreed to a full wet shave. As the Bald Off loomed closer Barry was first to hit the £1,000 mark while Thomas hit the £530 mark.

In total, £1,595 was raised for Alexander Devine, which has been added to the Romans Group’s total for the year, which currently stands at £17,775.
