Our client Robert Cooney – an estate agent based in Taunton, Somerset – was so intrigued by the office refurbishment process that it installed a time lapse camera to capture the work of our fitters.

The video shows one week’s worth of work (the client brief was for a super-fast turn-around), condensed down into just 90 seconds. You can see how the office is cleared, and the existing fixtures and fittings removed before new office furniture and new floor coverings transform the space.

We think one of the most fascinating steps of the refurbishment is the installation of the nine screen media wall – from wall fixings through to live screen testing. The digital element of this office refurbishment provides a benchmark for the estate agency of the future. As well as the media wall, there are three digital screens in the window, which completely replace traditional pocket displays.

Both the media wall and the digital screens offer the latest in display automation, with an automatic feed from Robert Cooney’s website powering the properties on rotation. Every time a new property is added to the agency’s website, it automatically appears on the digital screens in the window. The media wall is being used to convey more marketing and seasonal messages, carefully crafted to tie in with the company’s wider business objectives. 

Look closely at the time lapse video and you’ll also see the assembly of new office desks. Although they arrived onsite boxed and in a flat pack state, each desk was designed and specified by our team to create unique items of bespoke furniture. Our relationship with the manufacturers meant they were able to transport the desks in the most logical way. Both the 3D lettering and the LED feature lighting were installed in situ.

The Robert Cooney refurbishment comprises new flooring, full redecoration, wall features using LED light panels, three digital window display screens, and the refurbishment of a back office meeting room with new office furniture, wallpaper and wall logo.
