MPL Interiors is a concept-to-completion design, fit out, office relocation and refurbishment company, specialising estate agency branches. We are a family owned and run business that has been an industry leader for over 25 years. At the head of the company are Mike and Harry Simons – a father and son team who use past experience and an exceptional eye for design to steer the company in the right direction. We draw on over almost 2,000 completed refurbishments - each created and specified by our directly employed in-house design team – to help shape the work we do today and create exciting workplaces for the future.
Our experienced design team create, space plan, manage and install office refurbishments, shop fronts and window displays for estate agents looking to rebrand, reposition and increase market share through better design. Our service also includes corporate identity branding and the creation of bespoke furniture. MPL Interiors offers nationwide coverage but specialises in London and the South. We focus on tackling projects of all sizes, coordinating every aspect from trades, data/service providers and utilities to planning applications, delivery schedules and aftercare. Increasingly we are incorporating digital technology into our estate agency branch refurbishments, including media display walls, digital window displays and touch screens.
Our stunning branch refurbishments are already motivating teams, improving staff welfare and attracting new business at a time of heightened threats from online operations. We continue to forge longstanding relationships with our clients - many of whom return to us year after year as they grow, rebrand and acquire new office space.
Clients – existing and new – enjoy a relationship and level of service from MPL almost unheard of in the refurbishment industry. We offer a stable, experienced team of designers, project managers and installers, many of whom have been with MPL for a number of years. This ensures we understand a brand and an industry implicitly and can hit the ground running when creating a new design or office plan.
Our job is to make the refurbishment or relocation process as stress-free and as simple as possible. Our in-house design team is involved in each project from day one – there’s no outsourcing or re-briefing – so the designs they deliver are on message and on budget from the start. MPL Interiors’ third Partner – Tim Mason – has been in the fit out industry for over 23 years and uses his experience to deliver every project that we undertake. Tim works closely with clients to ensure there is minimum disruption to their business during the refurbishment or relocation works. This will involve co-ordinating our design team together with manufacturers, trades and our installers from day one, as we understand that keeping to a tight schedule and delivering a project that doesn’t exceed budget is crucial.
We also ensure there’s one main point of contact for every client so they are not passed from pillar to post or frustrated by talking to a staff member who knows nothing about their project. Even so, the MPL set up – all working together in one open plan office – means everyone here will have some knowledge about the client and their refurbishment, which is very reassuring.
Our ‘under one roof’ approach allows our departments to share information and work seamlessly together, which brings immense benefits to our clients. Our projects are well planned, executed and delivered without fuss and within budget. We have cultivated an exceptional relationship with trusted suppliers and don’t rely heavily on third parties, avoiding costly time delays and granting the best value-for-money for every estate agent client.

White & Sons came to MPL Interiors specifically to counteract the growing threat from online and hybrid estate agents, commissioning a cosmetic refurbishment at all four of its Surrey branches. With many High Street agents pressing home their ‘local experts on your High Street’ message, enhancing the physical brand and company visibility should be a top priority.
Our work for White & Sons focused very much on the ‘top layer’ of each branch, allowing a tight budget to have an immediate impact across multiple offices. There was no structural reconfiguration within the four offices, just some minor electric and lighting revisions that allowed the majority of the budget to be spent on interior finishes, office furniture and accessories – high-impact fittings that draw attention and lodge the brand in the sub conscious.
MPL Interiors created an interior design plan for White & Sons that made allowances for existing display units and wall art that the client requested to retain, while replacing other items with similar but more functional models – such as the office desks, which were replaced with newer versions with integrated cable management systems.
Visually striking additions across the four White & Son branches included new floor coverings, with a distinctive patterned carpet detail, wood panel-effect wallpaper, new occasional chairs in colours to match the brand identity and in the case of the Reigate office, an integrated refreshment station that made use of an existing fridge.
