Family-run 130-year-old agency is sold to industry giant

LRG has acquired a long-established family run agency founded over 130 years ago.

Doolittle & Dalley has remained continuously family-operated for over a century, by the same family still working within the company today.

Offering residential sales, lettings, commercial lettings and block management in the Midlands, it has built a strong reputation winning many customers who have returned to Doolittle & Dalley over decades.

Now all the staff will move into the LRG empire, although the business will retain the Doolittle & Dalley name.

Richard Hall, director at the independent firm, comments: “Doolittle & Dalley has always focused on local knowledge, long-term relationships and providing a consistent service to clients across the region.

In considering the future of the business, the priority was to find the right long-term home for Doolittle & Dalley, with the strength and stability to support both staff and clients.”

Matthew Light, group mergers and acquisitions director at LRG, adds: “The strength of the Doolittle & Dalley name has been built over decades through consistency, reputation and local relationships, and that is exactly what attracted us to the business.”

LRG says it has an “ongoing interest” in buying high-quality businesses across sales, lettings and property management.
