Strutt & Parker has appointed an industry heavyweight as its Head of National Town and City Markets.
In this newly created role, Louise Glanville joins as a director, following almost a decade at Knight Frank where she was a partner and head of the Exeter office.
The move sees her return to Strutt & Parker having worked for the firm early in her career within the New Homes team.
The company says her appointment marks a strategic expansion for the business as she looks to extend their super-prime offering in key cathedral cities across England.
She is charged with bolstering the firm’s presence in prime postcodes within sought-after city markets, such as Oxford, Cambridge, Winchester and Exeter.
And it adds that the appointment forms part of a wider strategic investment programme by Strutt & Parker’s shareholder, BNP Paribas Group, to support its growth ambitions.
The programme has seen targeted recruitment to support growth in key target markets, as well as the launch of its broker team in London, and the unveiling of its rebrand earlier this year.
Glanville says: “I am delighted to be returning to Strutt & Parker at such an exciting time for the business. I’m looking forward to working with colleagues across the country to build on their existing network and help drive the next phase of growth in these prime city markets.”
Oliver Custance Baker, Head of Strutts’ National Country House Department, comments: “Louise brings a superb track record, combining strong commercial instinct with the understanding of how to support the growth of a high-performing team.
She will be instrumental in strengthening our presence in those cathedral cities where the lines between town and country living are increasingly blurred; where you can find homes with the scale and character of the countryside, in the heart of the city. Her appointment promises to meaningfully enhance both our reach and client offering.”
