Everyone at Estate Agent Today is delighted to announce that our Editor, Marc Shoffman, has won the prestigious Headlinemoney freelance journalist of the year award…for the third year running.
Marc is a specialist journalist in property and personal finance. He has been with Angels Media since April 2022 and his work has appeared in many print and online publications including the Financial Times Business, The Mail on Sunday and The Times.
The judges commented: “All fascinating reads from a journalist who is a class freelance. Marc has delivered well-researched, agenda-setting stories designed to engage specific readerships.
“His investigations have uncovered issues of great potential harm to vulnerable consumers.”
Marc completed his hat-trick at a ceremony at The Brewery in London and was presented with his trophy by Quilter Head of External Communications, Tim Skelton-Smith and political broadcaster Ayesha Hazarika.
He said: “It's an honour to just be nominated so to win it three times is a lovely bonus. Working as a freelancer can be lonely and stressful at times, with little feedback so it is nice to be recognised by my peers.
“Financial journalism has never been more important amid the cost of living crisis and rise of fake news.
“I hope I can play my part in keeping people informed and uncovering the major money issues of the day.!”
