Digital onboarding service launches with 900 agency branches

Movebutler, the digital onboarding platform from online auction specialist iamproperty, says it has some 900 agency branches signed up.

These include Martin & Co (Derby), Robert Watts, DDM Residential, and Linley & Simpson.

The platform is designed to simplify the house moving process and give agents more opportunity increase revenue, while improving the experience for consumers.

Its services include digital onboarding for clients, apparently reducing agents’ admin time per transaction by around two hours.

Buyers and sellers complete their own onboarding digitally, sharing all information upfront to avoid delays and duplication.

An optional Method of Sale Audit feature has also launched, offering users a choice between private treaty and auction based on their circumstances.

Iamproperty says this has been created within The Property Ombudsman’s guidelines.

Also included are automatic title checks on the property and Online Biometric Identity Verification on the purchaser.

Features coming in the future include a conveyancing service to allow agents to get clients legally prepared upfront, reducing the chance of sales falling through and speeding completion by up to four weeks.

The firm says that as third-party suppliers like solicitors can be given access to movebutler, this will enable AML processes and legal checks to be aligned to reduce duplication, saving more time.

Ben Ridgway, iamproperty’s group managing director, says: “We’re calling movebutler ‘the modern move’ as it’s been designed to modernise the moving process in the way that agents and consumers want to see and experience.

“For agents, it’s speeding up the process, helping them be compliant, reducing their admin workload and allowing them to dedicate more time to winning new instructions and agreeing sales.

“For consumers, it’s improving communication as they can access the platform to check on progress and updates whenever it’s convenient for them.”
