Hybrid agency is latest to offer Modern Method of Auction option

Hybrid agency eXp UK is the latest to include the Modern Method of Auction as a sales possibility for its remote agents to offer vendors.

eXp UK, this country’s version of the US agency, was founded just over two years ago and announced in the middle of last year that it had 200 self-employed estate agents signed up to its platform.

It operates using a remote network of experienced property agents, each of which operates his or her own personal brand.

Led by Adam Day, the former Hatched founder and easyProperty executive, eXp UK has now partnered with Iamproperty to offer the Modern Method of Auction.

Day says: “We’re delighted to be working so closely with iamproperty [which is] one of the leading suppliers in the property industry and we’re looking forward to building a strong working relationship, between the agents at eXp, and the whole iamproperty team.”

Tom Bailey, head of partnerships at iamproperty, adds: “With our Partner Network consisting of high street agencies with office territories and multiple people in a branch, this is our first collaboration with remote agents who own the customer journey from start to finish.

“From our side, we see the eXp model as a huge value-add in terms of the people commitment that we put into the partnership. By combining eXp’s regionally tailored services with our tech expertise, we hope to give customers a well-rounded property sale and purchase experience.”

He continues: “Through iamsold we are able to work with agents to showcase how the Modern Method of Auction can benefit them and their clients, as well as help them to diversify their offering and give vendors more choice. The business is very unique and tailored to the individual, so because they're a lean, forward-thinking and fast-paced company there's a lot of synergy on a culture level.”
