Booming independent defies London slump by opening new branch

A London independent says it has doubled its valuations so far this year and is opening a new office, despite the struggling market in the capital.

Outlook Property Services, which describes itself as one of East London’s fastest growing agencies, is opening a new branch in Tottenham, which is currently undergoing regeneration.

Marlon Fox, the firm’s managing director, says it has defied the market slowdown and improved business through a range of measures including using PropTech tools to create “a sophisticated lead nurturing and tracking system” plus a quarterly personalised newspaper and other marketing techniques.

“There’s a lot of evidence in London and other cities that an investment of this scale can really kick-start growth and regeneration. We see Tottenham as an area with huge potential” explains Daniel Barbanel, a director at Outlook Property, and the residential property consultant to Tottenham Hotspur FC.
