Wednesday 24th August 2011

Jon Notley, former sales director for Primelocation and FindaProperty, has jumped ship to join rival Zoopla.

He joined this week in the new role of commercial director.

Before being group sales director at the Digital Property Group, he was sales director at Findaproperty, and in his earlier career was responsible for managing classified ad sales teams at Express Newspapers.

His responsibilities at Zoopla will include overseeing all revenue streams and the overall sales function at Zoopla, tasked with identifying new opportunities and managing performance and growth.

Notley said: “This is clearly a sector I know very well, and Zoopla’s growth, innovation and overall strategy creates a very exciting opportunity.”

Alex Chesterman, founder and CEO of Zoopla, said: “We are delighted to welcome Jon to the senior management team at Zoopla.

“His experience, background and knowledge of the industry and players will ensure that we continue to grow and serve our members well as we continue to build Zoopla into a household brand.”

Peacocks strutting feathers.

All these portal bods, no matter who they work for, need to remember that every quid in their pocket was earnt and put there by a hard working estate agent.

Nice work if you can get it.

Qualifications required:- massive ego, figure shuffler, fluent management speak and shiny face.

Who cares?

Zoopla dont get it, do they

Whilst ever they have a facility of

"guess the value of the house I'm interested in" - "oh and by the way make sure its miles out on the low side"

on their site, no self respecting agent will advertise with them

Dump it then we'll talk to you, maybe.

An I am sure that the independents would love know how much they will be charged in excess of their corporate rivals.....
