A London estate agent has come up with a piece of software called Iagent that utilises ipads to cut down dramatically on the time taken to produce property particulars.
Adam Heckenbroch, of Grove Residential, said: “I have been practising as an agent for the last ten years and have always found carrying out valuations and taking particulars down at a property to be really time consuming.
“At least a half an hour of my time is taken up at the property recording the information room by room, and then after arriving back at the office the secretary (or me) has to spend another half an hour converting my scrawl or dictation into a set of particulars.
“I realised when I explored the ipad that it could be used to the agent’s benefit.”
The software takes advantage of the ipad’s touch screen system, letting an agent walk round the property, recording the data room by room. At the end of the visit, the agent has a digital set of particulars that can be easily uploaded to the firm’s own software or to the portals.
Iagent is about to go live, and is simply waiting in Apple’s queue of apps to be loaded.
It will be able to be purchased for £19.99.
