Independent boutique estate agency Grange London has been acquired by a brokerage that majors in using AI and proprietory technology.
Grange offers sales and lettings and operates primarily in the Paddington Basin area – a location dominated by new-build flats.
It’s been snapped up by Jefferies London, which says its interest in Grange is primarily to offer its brokers a managed portfolio of some 100 properties to let.
Jeffries claims to have increased broker headcount by 30% so far this year and says it intends to almost double its existing network by the end of 2026.
It has recently emphasised its investment in a proprietary AI assistant, J.E.S.S.E., which it states has “helped improve operational efficiency and strengthen the support available to partner agents as the business continues to grow.”
Founder Damien Jefferies says: “This acquisition is another important milestone in the direction we’re taking Jefferies London.
“Grange London has built an excellent reputation and a fantastic managed portfolio, making it a natural fit for our business.
“By combining their expertise with our brokerage model, technology and operational support, we’re creating an even stronger proposition for landlords, investors, homeowners and, importantly, our partner agents.
“We’ve invested heavily over the last couple of years in both people and technology because we believe the future of estate agency isn’t about replacing great agents with AI, it’s about giving great agents better tools to succeed.
“Strategic acquisitions like this, alongside innovations such as J.E.S.S.E., allow us to keep improving the service we provide whilst continuing to grow the business in the right way.”
