A self-employed agency brand set up by former Purplebricks agents has made the Sunday Times 100 fastest growing companies list.
TAUK – set up in 2020 – has enjoyed 67% annual growth and sales above £7.6m in the past three years.
One of the founders is Steph Vass: less than a third of the 100 entries have a female founder.
A statement from the firm says its appearance on the list marks a departure for the agency industry, which typically sees companies growing slowly rather than rapidly.
A TAUK statement says: “TAUK is built differently. Its agents are self-employed, run their own businesses under one brand, and work the places they actually live in and know.
“The same agent stays with a sale from the first valuation to the day it completes, and every listing gets professional photography and film.
Kenny Bruce – a founder of Purplebricks and now executive director of TAUK – adds: “Estate agencies rarely make The Sunday Times 100 because traditional branch models aren’t built for rapid growth.
“We’ve shown that when great agents are empowered to run their own businesses with the right support, exceptional growth follows.
“To be recognised among Britain’s fastest-growing private companies just five years after launch is a testament to our founders, our agents, our team and the strength of the TAUK model.”
