Around a third of agents still have some sort of dress code at work while almost half are kust expected to be smart, a reader poll suggests.
An Estate Agent Today survey last week asked agents if they have a dress code at work.
It comes as research from job listings website Adzuna found companies are increasingly relaxing their dress codes.
Out of more than 100 responses to our reader poll, 36% said they have a dress code, while 45% are just required to dress smart.
Another 12% had no dress code and 7% said it depends on the situation.
Most vacancies still require smart or formal attire, Adzuna said.
More than a third of job adverts in the property sector referred to a smart of formal dress code, according to the research.

Agents act for sellers and for most sellers their property is their main financial asset; there is also a large emotional investment involved. Therefore, I believe it is important to maintain high standards in terms of professional appearance.
