Haus Properties founder aims to revive agency business

Jamie Lester is set to revive the HAUS Properties brand that he previously founded and quit.

Lester, a former contestant on The Apprentice, had setup London agent HAUS Properties in 2011 but mysteriously quit in 2016 and sold all his shares.

The old HAUS Properties brand was closed in 2018 with a liquidator appointed and it was dissolved in August this year.

Lester, who has since setup a new-build consultancy, is now working on bringing the renowned agency back.

The brand once had four branches around Fulham, Chiswick and Shepherd’s Bush, but the new model will focus on developing a a community of self-employed brokers that benefits from a wider network of shareholders and properties to market.

It will operate under a new company called Haus Prop Ltd, which will also merge Lester’s new homes consultancy.

The other directors from the previous business are not involved.

The first step of the launch is a fundraising round, presenting an investment opportunity only for landlords and property developers.

Details will be revealed at this Friday’s Property Investor Show.

The investment is limited to 200 investors, all of whom must buy or sell at least ten properties annually.

Lester said: “I aim to create a revolutionary and innovative approach by bringing the network effect to often siloed, disconnected, and disparate estate agency professionals.

“HAUS fosters ‘in-haus’ collaboration and cross-pollination, sharing expertise, support, and opportunities for everyone. HAUS brokers are set to be empowered to grow their own businesses and support the wider community simultaneously, sharing in the eventual spoils. Our culture of collaboration and innovation is infectious, drawing top-tier estate agents into our revolution.”
