Rummage4 tech acquired by property marketing platform

PropTech firm CoreLogic UK has acquired the property search and marketing platform Rummage4.

Rummage4 was founded in 2015 by agent Robert May as a property search platform, and promised to be a major force when it secured the services of Anthony Codling -  then a City analyst well known for his critical analysis of Purplebricks.

In December 2018 Codling told the Financial Times that Rummage had signed up Countrywide and other agency groups, and that its key selling point was being “much cheaper than Rightmove, Zoopla and OnTheMarket.”

But Codling left the enterprise after a year. He now runs the high profile PropTech service Twindig.

Now CoreLogic says the Rummage4 tech will be added to its property marketing products provided through its subsidiary ehouse.

It claims Rummage4 will provide agents with property specific consumer-facing micro sites to host ehouse’s photography, floor plans, EPCs, drone, 3D virtual tours and video.

“Those people who’ve followed our journey will have seen us innovate and try things that we believe will bring property search up to date with technology” says May.

“The way consumers engage with the internet has changed and we believe this allows homebuyers and tenants to get closer to the agents who sell or let the properties they’re looking for.”

And ehouse managing director Ben Fillmore adds: “It will allow our estate agency clients to radically transform how they market their properties. We are excited to build upon the Rummage4 product and look forward to working with Robert and our clients to maximise the potential that this acquisition brings.”
