New branding for agency marking almost 200 years in business

Cambridge-based agency and auctioneers Cheffins is celebrating the approach of 200 years in business with a very 21st century event - a new logo and website.

The agency, established in 1825, says it has enjoyed “a sustained period of growth” prompting a revaluation of its direction and objectives.

Cheffins’ new logo and corporate colours took two years to come to fruition and bring, in its words, “a sharp new visual identity to the historic firm, making it instantly recognisable and characterising the firm as modern, smart, effective and original, whilst remaining true to its heritage.”

Bill King, Cheffins’ chairman, says: “Our market research confirmed that evolving our corporate identity and updating our logo was the appropriate strategic move for us. This is an exciting time for our business and we feel confident that our new logo, website and colours will ensure our brand is easily recognisable; enabling us to communicate the Cheffins message with renewed impact, whilst capturing the essence and personality of the firm.

The comprehensive project has involved a complete revamp of all signage, advertising and key messages, allowing Cheffins to stand out against the competition as we head towards our 200-year anniversary in 2025.”

Cheffins underwent a strategic reorganisation of the firm in 2016 and says the rebranding is a step in ensuring the business cements its reputation as one of the most admired businesses in the Cambridge region.
