Property Jobs Today - the latest industry movers and shakers

Two weeks to Christmas but no sign of our industry slowing down with more job moves announced in recent days.

Please let us know what’s happening in your company by emailing us on press@estateagenttoday.co.uk - that’s what everyone mentioned below has done…

So let’s kick off with Zoopla, where Gary Bramall is to be the new chief marketing officer charged with growing its activities still further.

“This is an enormously exciting opportunity to work with a well-known and trusted household brand within an industry which is undergoing transformative change. To work with a data-rich tech led business which has huge potential to improve and add value to that process for both consumers and estate agents is a marketeer’s dream” says Gary.

“I want people to understand why Zoopla provides an offering unlike anything out there and to be the destination of choice for consumers and agents.”

There are two new faces at the newly-launched Weston-super-Mare property consultancy Mcilroy Smith.

Experienced property manager Mark Neighbour joins from one of Bristol’s well-known property companies and will lead on social housing and retirement living.

Tracey Simmonds is also joining - she’s the partner of managing director Andrew Simmonds and has previous experience in local government.

Meanwhile in London the SP Property Group has appointed Noel Hennelly as a senior property manager to its growing residential property management team.

He’s had 13 years’ experience managing individual rental properties and portfolios for private and institutional landlords, including Imperial College and The Wellcome Trust.

Jo Eccles, SP’s managing director, comments: “Noel … is a very valuable addition to our team and further reinforces our expertise in providing an asset management approach to property management and acquisition. We have a wide-ranging portfolio of property under management and deliver a first-class service to all of our clients.”

SP Property Group provides property management for private landlords as well as block management on behalf of freeholders, developers and residents.

Now let’s switch to appointments at industry suppliers, starting with Matterport, a company familiar to agents dealing with 3D technology.

RJ Pittman has joined the company as chief executive officer - he was most recently chief product officer for eBay following leadership positions at Google, Apple and Groxis.

There are new top brass, too, at Landmark Information Group, the provider of land and property search information.

Simon Brown is the new chief executive officer and Stephen Stout the new executive chairman.

Paul Zwillenberg, chief executive of Landmark’s parent company DMGT, says: “I’m thrilled that Simon Brown is joining Landmark and bringing with him a wealth of experience and expertise. To have Stephen Stout returning completes the formidable team.”

Finally there’s news from conveyancing search firm Geodesys which has promoted Darren Bryant to the position of platform owner after 11 years with the company.

Property Jobs Today - the latest industry movers and shakersIn his new role, Darren will act as the link between the customer-facing and software development teams to ensure the tools and processes being developed are seamless and improve the customer’s experience with the Geodesys platform.

Kevin Brown, managing director at the firm, says: “It’s been great to watch Darren’s evolution through the years. During this time, he’s amassed an impressive wealth of knowledge about the company and the wider industry. We are proud to keep his expertise and I have every confidence that he will continue to deliver successfully in his new role.”

So that’s it for now: have a good week and we’ll be back next Monday. Until then…
