Police called in after 'gun' spotted on Rightmove listing photo

Police were called in when an anxious resident spotted what appeared to be an assault rifle in a photograph of a property listed on Rightmove.

The property in Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire, was listed by the R A Bennett estate agency.

A copy of the photograph - complete with the outline of what experts identified as a M4 Carbine Commando assault rifle - can be seen above a window in the one-bedroom top-floor apartment in the photo used in local website Gloucestershire Live here.

However, the weapon appears to have been removed from the version of the same photograph currently on Rightmove, here.

Gloucestershire Live says the house-hunter informed the police who then visited the property, called The Old Bakehouse; at this point it was discovered that the gun was in fact a gas-powered replica used for recreational paintball.

“It did not have the gas canister nor the paint ball canister activated. No further action was taken” the complainant told GL.

    Nothing to see here, then.

They could have at least moved the bins and clothes hangers too.
