Well crafted spin article!!! Laughable really. Why are investors still pouring money into this failing company!!! You would think that after the fiasco with Emoov in the last couple of weeks they would be running for the hills.

Oh my God how is this woman being allowed to bleet on about absolute rubbish in such a public arena. Her company failed and she thinks we are all interested in what she has to say! Of course she will say that online agents will take 70% of all houses sold because her company was an (failed) online estate agency and she is still hoping for a job on the board of Emoov. Is it only me that sees this or is everyone else blind! How are EAT allowing such rubbish to be published . . . it must be a quiet news day. Why not publish articles on how good high street agents are and the fact that no online agents will match the quality service a high street agent could provide . . . but no, this isn't interesting enough. Purplebricks have been accused of writing their own reviews and providing poor customer service but yet they still take up the majority of news articles because for some reason you guys think we all want to read about them!

Well summarised Simon. I must add that I am tired of the constant hype that surrounds these online agents, giving them way too much attention and inevitably misleading clients.

Typical PurpleBricks jumping on the bandwagon and attention seeking. They need to review how transparent they are about what their fees include and how often sellers have to pay this fee which I believe is after 10 months if the property doesn't sell!!! Always quick to point the finger but when asked about their sales figures they suddenly become very quiet. They are not 'a property estate agent' no matter how long they bleat on about it!!

Totally agree Paul - they can spend millions on marketing but when your service is inferior to the real thing it will not last. I am sick of hearing 'experts' tell us how great they are, how much of the market they 'could' have in the future. We are often asked to value properties that Purplebricks have also been asked along to and we always win the instruction - it doesn't take much to shine when you are competing with these 'local property experts'!!!!

Hi John every agent has negative reviews from people who do not appear to have every used their service (us included) and I would agree that these probably do come from people with a grudge. However, I do not believe that the large amount of negative reviews for Purplebricks posted on AllAgents were all fake, the majority of them were way too detailed about the reasons for the clients dissatisfaction for someone to have made it all up. If an estate agent is good then the positive ones will outweigh the negative ones, I know this is not ideal but we are all in the same boat. Of note, I am aware that every time a negative review is posted on TrustPilot for PurpleBricks they have it removed because they say they do not recognise the client . . . how convenient!

Rob - we are a high street agent. Have a look at our website: www.purplepropertyshop.com. :)

Purplebricks lie and that is the bottom line. They honestly think we believe the rubbish they publish about transparency and being on the side of the customer. Rubbish, rubbish, rubbish. They don't want their reviews published because it reflects the terrible customer service they give. As for their fees and the comment 'unlike traditional agents, whose rates aren’t published at all' again lying. They have clearly not looked at any other agents websites to find this out. We publish our fees in full and I believe so do the majority of other agents. When will they learn they are the worst example of what an agent should be, they wouldn't know honestly if it jumped up and bit them on the bum!

Surely no-one actually ever believed that the Purplebricks LPEs were actually local and not just a marketing ploy!!! Feedback from some of our clients following valuations they had with Purplebricks confirms that they were told the name of one valuer then it would change to another, later finding out that these people travel quite a way to get to the valuation. It's mis-marketing to call them LPEs but as usual Purplebricks will get away with it. The same applies to them demanding all the negative reviews are removed from AllAgents because it reflects the true low level of service they provide to customers. . . . . . it's a disgrace!!!!!

Does Purplebricks own Estate Agent Today? I have never seen so many articles about one company on one site!!! Great marketing ploy!

Why the hell is every 'Breaking News' all about Purplebricks . . . . . . there are a lot of other agents out there doing much better - us for example!!!! I would be happy for an article highlighting our achievements or even another agent . . . anything but Purplebricks. I am beginning to think Estate Agents Today is just printing any article Purplebricks send them . . . it is boring and attention seeking!

This is not unique. We have been offering a fixed fee of just £599 (incl VAT) which works really well along side our more traditional service commission bases service. Clients choosing this package still get the full write-up, professional photography, interactive 3D floorplan etc. We have been offering this service from the first day we opened, 7 years ago . . . way before Purple Bricks!!!! and it is very successful. I think this is a great move by these agents and is the way forward for all agents. Good luck to them :)

Agree Colin but I understand there is a 10 month pay later option but if you use this option you have to use their conveyancing firm when you do eventually secure a buyer and no doubt the fees for this are high! Don't agree with this approach myself and I actually thought this practice wasn't allowed. It would be interesting to know how many sellers are fully aware of this but as usual PB seem to be getting away with it.
