Achieving goals in sales and lettings could mean the trip of a lifetime for ten top employees at Spicerhaart.

Those with the best results in sales, lettings and financial services will net a trip to the World Cup 2010 in South Africa.

The incentive includes return flights, three nights’ stay in South Africa and tickets to the first live England game, to be played against the USA on June 12 in Rustenburg.

Russell Jervis, managing director of Spicerhaart, said: “We like to offer incentives to reward those employees who achieve top results. We took them to the last World Cup – so we’re taking them to the one in South Africa in June.

Pee Bee - A day out in St Albans! Now that would be a reward worth scrambling for. Never been there myself!

Are they not expecting any of the female staff to do well then? I'm a woman in an office full of women and we all agree that none of us would be in any way incentivised by this....!

Come on, you lot - what's the problem with this. Steve0, sorry to hear your employer did not come up with the goods afterwards. Mine took me (and others...) to Prague, Barcelona, Seville, erm... St Albans... I missed out on Paris only because it was getting a bit repetitive - they moved the goalpost so I didn't qualify that year! Did it make me work harder - no. Was I grateful - yes. Was I p****d when I didn't 'win' - HELL YES! It's called pride in the job; which inevitably culminated in success - and that is what the reward is for.

I am sure a few more "deceptive" adertising campaigns will gain more business for them and then in turn lead the way to South Africa. ASA- keep an eye out !!!
