Christopher Legrand has launched an online training business aimed at those working in property.

Called Learn-on-Line.biz, it currently offers six different training programmes, but will eventually offer 20. The courses cover such subjects as property management risk assessments and health and safety.

Legrand, formerly head of professional services at the Incorporated Society of Valuers and Auctions before it merged with the RICS, is better known as the man who led research into Home Condition Reports, when they were going to be part of HIPs.

He set up SAVA (the Surveyors and Valuers Accreditation Service) and was a HIPs consultant to the Government for five years, but left amid allegations of conflict of interest – something he always strenuously denied.

Hmmm... nobody comments that these 'training programmes' do not appear to be recognised by any professional body - nor does the company pushing them! Your article also failed to mention that Hugh Dunsmore-Hardy is part of this outfit. Be honest - if you received an email from them it would be consigned to your Spam folder in seconds. It will be interesting to see what the profession make of learn-on-line.biz...
