Estate agent Louisa Fairhall has been elected chairman of the Portsmouth Property Association.

The PPA has 143 members and was established 93 years ago, in 1920.

Fairhall runs her own Gosport-based estate agency and lettings company, Fairhalls, established by her grandfather John Fairhall in 1934.

She is pictured, with her father Graham, 76, a surveyor who was PPA chairman in 1992. It is the first time a father and daughter have held the title, although there have been eight fathers and sons.

She is the third woman to hold the title at the PPA, which has 27 estate agency members and whose brief is to maintain high professional ethics and integrity amongst its members.

The association has also raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity over the decades. Two months ago, £1,500 was collected for Hounds For Heroes at the PPA’s 93rd annual charity dinner.
