Property Pledge – A simple deposit solution for homebuyers and sellers. Our quick and straightforward agreements act as reservation/ exclusivity agreements and are pledged with a £1000 refundable deposit which is held in Escrow. The homebuying and selling process has become very stressful and is prone to delays, timewasting and a high rate of transactions falling through, in fact 1 in 3 property sales fall through. Whilst the way to find a property via the internet has improved for the better the buying process is still the same as it was 30 years ago. Taking these two factors into account, we have created Property Pledge, an online platform where buyers and sellers can have more trust in each other. Our ‘Single Agreement’ allows a buyer to pledge a £1000 refundable deposit into Escrow in exchange for 10 weeks in which to exchange contracts on the property. Should the buyer exchange contracts then they get a full refund, but should they withdraw from the purchase (outside of those reasons allowed) then they would forfeit the deposit to the seller. Property Pledge aims to reduce fall through rates, complete sales faster and improve the buying and selling process by a small financial commitment.
