New agency leader makes growth and acquisitions top priorities

The new chief executive of Lomond, Paul Geddes, says he’s looking at “targeted acquisitions” to grow the company.

Geddes joins from Evelyn Partners, where he most recently served as chief executive, leading its recent sale to NatWest Group for £2.7 billion. 

He was fornerly chief executive of Direct Line Insurance Group, where he led the company’s successful IPO and its promotion to the FTSE 100. 

He also served as CEO of NatWest Group’s Retail Banking division. 

Geddes succeeds Ed Phillips, who in four years expanded , since joining in 2022, has overseen Lomond’s expansion from 34,000 properties under management to more than 70,000 today, including overseeing some 40 acquisitions. 

Geddes says: “Lonond is at the forefront of a consolidating UK market, with a compelling and differentiated proposition for both landlords and tenants. 

“There is significant opportunity to build on the company’s strong positioning and achievements to date, through continued organic growth, AI integration, and targeted acquisitions. 

“I am delighted to be joining the Group and look forward to working with my new colleagues to deliver the next phase of growth.” 

Kate Swann, chair of Lomond, comments:“[Paul] brings deep experience in driving operational excellence and scaling businesses, and, having worked together previously at Argos, I am confident he is the right partner to continue delivering Lomond’s growth strategy.”
