Self employed brand reveals more agencies signing up

Self-employed agency brand eXp UK has named a second wave of estate agencies to adopt its new business model.

The brand’s ‘brokerage’ model is for traditional high street estate agencies with an employed workforce to become an eXp UK partner business, and to turn their agents into self-employed operators in association with the eXp brand - but whilst also keeping their existing brand.

In January it revealed that it had recruited 506 individual agents to the platform, and it named two agencies to have adopted its ‘corporate’ model. Today it reveals a further three. These are Sullivans, Taylor Millburn and Every Step Of The Way.

Adam Day, head of eXp, says: “Our brokerage model is the next step in the self-employed estate agency story and we’re delighted to see it gaining traction so soon after launch, with a further three businesses opting to provide their agents with greater flexibility and opportunity.  We can’t wait to see the differences it makes to them as the year progresses and we’re delighted to welcome them into the eXp UK family.”

Every Step Of The Way director Celeste Hamilton-Parker says:  "As a business owner with an established business already operating under a self-employed model, joining eXp was a no-brainer for me. Being part of a national and global organisation that boasts one of the best self-employed realtor business models in the world enables me to grow my business with the necessary support to expand my team and achieve my goals.

“Being part of eXp UK provides me with growth opportunities along with an easier setup for recruiting more people, whilst saving on my business running costs and being part of a company with like-minded entrepreneurs all working together for success.”

Meanwhile the director of Sullivans, Samantha Sullivan, comments: "The team are excited to join a network of agents with the same passion for selling homes in a different way to the traditional norm in the UK. Providing a personal service with flexibility is so important in today's way of selling properties so being surrounded by a big team with the same agenda will allow us to benefit from a large support network.

“As a small agency, we can also streamline our costs, which allows us more flexibility in our marketing spend.”

And the director of Taylor Milburn, Jamie Fisher, adds:  "Partnering with eXp UK gives our trusted brand the launchpad it needs to be more diverse in an ever-changing industry. It also provides us with a platform to attract other top self-employed agents by giving them the resources they need for lead generation and marketing to help them grow."

We have been on board for 2 weeks and I'm already seeing the benefits. For a very small 4 man band, it's really a numbers game on what we are saving money on, and with teams we keep our branding. Not one new instruction has questioned the changes. It's been a much easier transition than I thought.
