Propertymark is encouraging auctioneers to attend its upcoming open forum on the 2018 Ivory Act to make sure they are complying with this important law.
The Ivory Act stops commercial activities regarding ivory in the UK and the import and re-export of ivory to and from the UK for commercial reasons.
Expert Michael Baggott will be leading the open forum alongside NAVA Propertymark President Richard Worrall on 14 February from 1030am.
NAVA Propertymark members can watch the event online or attend the event in person at Arbon House in Warwick.
Worrall said: “The Ivory Act 2018 is a vital piece of legislation concerning the import and export of ivory into and out of the UK respectively. Propertymark urges auctioneers to attend this open forum so that they can familiarise themselves with the key aspects of this law and ensure that they are compliant with it in their everyday dealings.”
