That’s a rap! Music video celebrates ESTAS Awards’ anniversary

TV property guru Phil Spencer has backed the latest hip hop track commissioned by Made Snappy 360 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the ESTAS Awards.

US hip hop artist Keybeux refers to Spencer as “Big Phil” in the opening verse of the song before focusing his talents on the independent ESTAS award review process.

The music video celebrates the awards and also highlights a free video offer for agents from Made Snappy 360.

Ashley Rigg, managing director of Made Snappy 360, who commissioned the work, said he it’s the first time a proptech company has ever shared an offer through the medium of song. 

He said: “We were debating in the office how best to communicate our free video offer to ESTAS winners, and we came up with the idea of asking Keybeux to sing about it and the idea grew from there.”

Spencer, who has hosted the event since 2004, said: “The ESTAS has always been one of my favourite industry events, not just for its reputation but for the values it celebrates. I love the song. 

“It’s great to see such a novel and unique way of honouring customer service excellence in estate agency and to be honest, I got off lightly. I’ve been called a lot worse than ‘Big Phil’ in my time."

ESTAS founder Simon Brown added: “Genuinely outstanding customer service is quite rare in estate agency. 

“The ESTAS Awards is all about celebrating the very best, backed up by genuine customer reviews. The awards are very difficult to win and what better way to communicate success than with a catchy jingle. This is the perfect way to help celebrate our 20th Birthday.”

The ESTAS Awards take place this Friday 20 October at the Grosvenor Hotel in London where 1,000 of the UK’s top property professionals from across agency, conveyancing, mortgage and supplier sectors will gather to celebrate.
