He said: “I am looking forward to working closely with chief executive Paul Smith and the other board members and bringing an added view of agency, maximising transaction value and developing the Land and New Home business to become an even bigger asset for the company

“The team have worked really hard and have increased revenue five-fold over the past five years, and I see this trend continuing. I work with the best people and am very grateful to my team.

“Spicerhaart is one of the UK’s largest and most forward-thinking property companies and is still growing. It is a company where everyone is appreciated, and you are not just a number which I think is very important.

“There are lots of exciting things happening behind the scenes for our people and customers and I am honoured to be part of that.”

Paul Smith, chief executive of Spicerhaart, added: "We were delighted when Tim, one of the industry's top performers, joined us and we have seen exponential growth in our land and new homes business as a result.

“Tim's well-deserved board appointment enables the group to further strengthen its strategic team and will ensure we deliver our very ambitious growth plans.”
