Record 600 names on ESTAS Awards shortlist

A record 600 firms and individuals have been shortlisted for the 2022 ESTAS Customer Service Awards.

Sponsored by blockchain property network Coadjute, the accolades are based on feedback given through the ESTAS customer review platform.

The website rates agents, conveyancers and mortgage brokers on the level of service they deliver through the home moving experience.

ESTAS reviews are completed at the end of the transaction and verified to ensure they are genuine reviews.

Suppliers are also reviewed by their own clients including agents, conveyancers and brokers.

This year’s shortlist has been calculated following the evaluation of 660,000 customer reviews and ratings.

Ben Marley, commercial director at ESTAS, said: “The ESTAS family is growing meaning the competition to reach the shortlist is getting tougher and tougher as we attract more and more firms across agency, conveyancing, mortgage broker and supplier sectors.

“So - for the first time - we have introduced the ESTAS Standard of Excellence which firms must attain to make the shortlist.”

“Achieving The ESTAS Standard of Excellence is a service kitemark which every firm on the shortlist should be extremely proud of. ESTAS reviews are unique because they must be completed at the end of the moving experience ensuring they provide a true reflection of the overall service received and therefore deliver a powerful marketing message to future customers.”

The nominees have been revealed each Friday on the ESTAS YouTube page during May.

The Guild of Property Professionals said its network has more than 90 shortlisted offices, groups or people - a record number for members.

The Guild itself also has a chance of winning the Best Agency Network

Iain McKenzie, chief executive of The Guild of Property Professionals, said: “We are very proud of the Guild Members that have been shortlisted, it is a tribute to how hard they have worked over the past 12 months to ensure they are setting the bar for customer service.

“It shows that with the support of a national network such as The Guild, independent estate agents can become bigger than the sum of their parts and compete on a national level.”

The Federation of Independent Agents (FIA) also revealed that 24 of its member branches have been shortlisted alongside two nominations for the prestigious people award.

The FIA itself has been included in the shortlists for the best estate agency network category and for best UK supplier.

Graham Lock, founder of The FIA, said: “It’s a remarkable achievement for our young network to be competing with established peers but also demonstrates the unquestionable quality of our members who strive to improve the standards within estate agency.

“I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved in such as short space of time and look forward to watching our members receive their deserved awards at the fantastic ESTAS event in October.”

The awards will be held on 14 October at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, presented by the UK’s favourite property expert Phil Spencer.

This year’s event will also feature the first official ESTAS after party held in the Ballroom at the Grosvenor House Hotel, home to the BAFTAS after party.

Spencer said “The ESTAS Awards are based on real feedback, from real clients experiencing real service so they provide genuine proof of the service levels that a firm is delivering to clients.

“Now more than ever high quality customer service is crucial if homemovers are going to realise their dream of getting the property they set their hearts on.”
