Propertymark Qualifications launches remote invigilation

Agents will be able to take Propertymark Qualifications’ exams remotely from the new year following the launch of a new invigilation platform.

Propertymark Qualifications has been testing a new remote invigilation system in recent months and is now set to launch the method of UK-wide examination delivery in January, giving greater flexibility for learners.

It said this would offer more flexibility to busy agents and will carry the same robust procedures as attending a test centre.

Remote invigilation takes place online with an invigilator using security software and an assessment platform.

A remote invigilator monitors the learner using cameras and shared screens to ensure all remote exams taken are incontrovertible.

The assessment delivery can be personalised with different screen colours and adjustable contrast, and learners who have additional needs can be supported where required.

Reasonable adjustments can include additional time or a screen reader.

Michael Smith, head of qualifications and responsible regulatory officer for Propertymark Qualifications, said: “Propertymark Qualifications’ are available across the UK and the demand for those wanting to get qualified is growing.

“Many agents or those aspiring to be agents have busy schedules and we want to increase access to obstacle-free assessment for everyone, wherever you are based.”
