Another regional agency group has returned to Zoopla, attributing the move to the portal's “receptive audiences” amongst the house buying and renting public.
Charters is one of the leading agencies in the South East of England with seven branches in Hampshire and Surrey. It has won 35 independent awards in recent years, including three at the 2019 UK Property Awards.
Simon Comber, marketing director at Charters, says: “We are delighted to be working with Zoopla again. Charters is committed to showcasing its properties to receptive audiences and Zoopla fits this bill.”
Its announcement that it is rejoining the portal follows on from the news that Zoopla has enjoyed a two per cent growth in customer numbers year on year, which it says is “bucking the trend seen for portals more widely” - a guarded reference to slightly falling membership of Rightmove in recent months.
The portal says its growth in customers comes following “the overwhelmingly positive response to the company’s decision to offer free portal usage, worth £30m, in the light of the lockdown”.
Zoopla’s chief commercial officer, Andy Marshall, adds: “Charters is a byword in the industry for quality and excellence so we are delighted that they’ve decided that Zoopla is the partner that can take their business to the next level.
“The esteem in which the agent community holds them in is reflected by their awards they receive and the feedback they get from their customers cements this reputation. I look forward to working with the excellent team there and helping them grow their business in the months and years to come.”
