Conveyancing search provider Searchflow has amended its website after an intervention by the Advertising Standards Authority.
A claim on the site stated: “This is a complete search that provides the LLC1.”
However, a complainant contacted the ASA to say that they believed that some councils were not able to currently provide an LLC1, the standard local authority search form.
A spokesperson for the ASA told Estate Agent Today: “We approached the advertiser with the concerns that had been raised. It confirmed that it was a typographical error (it was meant to read “complete solution”) and that it would amend the copy and review all related content on its website.”
The complaint was classified as ‘informally resolved’ - no further investigation is necessary.
