Marsh & Parsons will be opening a new office in Islington on September 4 - defying many analysts who say the capital’s housing market is in trouble.
The new office will be the third Marsh & Parsons branch in north London following the opening of Camden in 2014 and Tufnell Park last year.
Islington will be the company’s fourth new location in 20 months, following the unveiling of the Tooting, Tufnell Park and Brixton offices, and brings the total number to 27 in addition to the firm's head office and a new homes branch in Soho.
To mark their arrival, the Islington team are offering local home owners a zero per cent fee on any property sales in the first three months of opening - the firm says this is a significant discount from its standard 2.0 per cent commission and could save local sellers an average of £16,348 on their sale.
Marsh & Parsons, a London agency since 1856, was acquired by LSL Property Services plc in November 2011.
In LSL’s half-year figures revealed to the City last week, it was said that Marsh & Parsons now received over 50 per cent of its income from lettings, and had an ambition to have 36 branches by 2019.
