Two estate agencies have incorporated video footage on to their website homepages in order to promote their brands to prospective clients.
Lumley Estates, a sales and letting agency in Radlett, Hertfordshire, and Rockett Home Rentals, a letting agency based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, have both produced glossy videos as part of their digital marketing strategies.
Both videos were filmed, edited and incorporated into the agents' websites by Estate Apps, a firm which specialises in creating websites and apps for the property industry.
In the case of Rockett Home Rentals, the agency utilises two high-profile clients to show off its service.
Its video features former Stoke City footballers Andy Wilkinson and Mamady Sidibé, both of whom played for the Potters in the Premier League.
Wilkinson, who retired earlier this year, is now focusing on property investment, and Estate Agent Today is informed that Sidibé, who also runs a French patisserie with his wife, has recently started turning out for a local Sunday league outfit – defenders beware.
Lumley Estates' video centres on the firm's hands-on approach, highlighting that all of the agency's directors are involved in the day-to-day running of the business.
“We’re seeing a huge shift in the way that consumers spend time online,” explains Alex Evans, chief executive of Estate Apps.
“We’re consuming far more video content regardless of the platform we’re on. This might be on a business’s website but this also goes for social media.”
Evans says in the 'I want it now! age', video is the fastest and most engaging way to get a message in front of clients.
“Much like with social media, video is now becoming the norm,” he says.
“Trends show that nearly 70% of web traffic will be video views by 2017, now is the time to get on board.”
Last month, South London agency Proctors published a video about how agency has changed over the years to mark its 70th birthday.
