Property software firm VTUK has launched a digital security protection service for estate agents.
With a growing industry focus on digital marketing and social media, it has added an online reputation and brand protection model to its range of services.
As well as whole companies, VTUK says that chief executives and business leaders are becoming easy to exploit and have their reputations damaged digitally through 'trolling' and distribution of negative content.
The digital security protection service will allow agents and ceos to have their digital presence monitored for them, ensuring they have full transparency of any negative publicity.
VTUK says that just 7% of UK companies are monitoring what's being said about them online, while just 2% have created in-house roles to try and combat negative activity online.
“We see the huge investments of time and dedication that our clients, put into creating a great brand and local image. It is staggering how easily this can be overturned by a digital attack,” says Peter Grant, VTUK ceo.
“Ensuring you have a plan in place to deal with an attack on yourself and your business is vital and we urge agencies and owners to take action.”
