Following a year's development, Agent Masterclass has announced the launch of its innovative online training platform for estate agents.

The service enables estate agency owners, managers, valuers and negotiators to engage with estate agency trainer Richard Rawlings.

Delivered via a series of interactive video tutorials and delivered weekly, the service allows agents at any stage in their career to understand and adopt ideas, tips, techniques, methods and strategies.

Agents often ask me how they can overcome the issue of staff having to take time out of the office for training, and I'm delighted to have been able to crack this. Agents can now take a thirty minute module every week at a time to suit them, as well as being able to retain access to that module and build an ongoing learning resource, said Richard.

"The material is designed for anyone in estate agency and over a hundred topics have already been prepared, including contributions from external experts including other trainers, HM Land Registry, conveyancers, home stagers, professional photographers, mortgage providers, social media specialists, etc. Ultimately, the aim of Agent Masterclass is to create remarkable estate agents who, over time, become distinctive experts, not only in agency, but also in the business of agency

The online training costs £99 per month per branch, which allows up to five people to enrol, each with their own personal learning journey.

A video overview of the service can be found at AgentMasterclass.co.uk

I don't normally respond to such abuse, especially from people who prefer to stay anonymous. But the suggestions "Guest" makes are insulting and rude. For the record I ran award-winning estate agencies in London, Twickenham and Cape Town for 20 years and also won the current Propertydrum magazine Trainer of the Year Award. It was my experience in Cape Town and the USA that opened my eyes to how outdated the techniques of the 1980's actually were and how little method British agents actually employ. So I now make it my business to investigate every conceivable sales, marketing and negotiation technique available in the UK and elsewhere and I speak on these issues at major events around the globe. I enjoy excellent relationships with hundreds of clients around the UK, Australia and the USA and find that this continually-learning "helicopter" approach is many times more valuable to me as a trainer than working as an agent in the field working out of one branch in one town. Who would you rather help you progress Having said that I do spend a lot of time in the field shadowing agents as part of my consultancy work. Incidentally, I have just heard from a client who enrolled with AgentMasterclass.co.uk last week, and after the first session said that he felt that it had already covered his first year's subscription!

I don't mind people taking a pop as I aim to rattle cages from time to time, but unjustified rudeness is pathetic.

Hmmm... here's a dilemma - defending someone that I have often disagreed with on this very site.

Okay - lets get real here. Mr Rawlings is a TRAINER, and does NOT profess to be an Estate Agent in the current market. He was one for over a decade (yes - in the eighties...) - so at least he has walked in the moccasins.

However, you do not have to be able to DO what you TEACH. Most "training" is simply reinforcing on the audience what they already know. From what I understand from others, Mr Rawlings is a master of this art.

I would imagine that if Mr Rawlings "80s Roadshow" was rolled out it would have a massive - BENEFICIAL - impact on the industry.

Imagine - showing Agents how to market properties without simply banging it on this or that portal and waiting for some form of response...

    BRING IT ON!

So Richard Rawlings will be fleecing agents online now. Wonder if it's anything new or if it's just recycled stuff from the eighties. Open up an office Richard have ago selling property see if any of the 'stuff' works. Probably not.
