Spicerhaart - fresh from its latest confrontation with the Advertising Standards Authority and its threat to take legal action against Countrywide - is to take 200 top-performing employees to New York ... for an awards ceremony.

A press release from the company says: Members of the Spicerhaart family will attend the prestigious event, can work in any division or at any level of seniority, and must have excelled across all areas of attainment in 2014.

The annual conference and awards even, taking place in March, will also reveal Spicerhaart's business plans for 2015.

We never lose sight of how important how our colleagues are to the business and it will be a great opportunity to review our targets for 2015 and reward top employees for their hard work and loyalty during 2014 says chief executive Paul Smith.

The weekend in the Big Apple will include a trip up the Empire State Building, a meal on a yacht on the Hudson River and being wined and dined at top New York restaurants according to the release.

If the attendees were thinking of sleeping at any time, however, they may be disappointed - they are staying in a hotel near Times Square.

Does this mean that the ones left behind need to start sending out their cv's

As in life, the commission pool is never split equitably!

They clearly don't operate as a mutual either!

Good luck to those that were shunned.
