There was no Sarah Beeny How To Sell Your Home show on Channel 4 last evening - and with the series resuming its run next week, mystery surrounds the unexpected break.

A Channel 4 spokesman told Estate Agent Today that to my knowledge the break in transmission was not for any suspicious reason, and he did not know of the complaint about the programme submitted by an unnamed estate agent to TV watchdog Ofcom.

Four of the six shows have been transmitted and online agents involved in the episode that was to have aired last night were as surprised as everyone else.

Tonight's #howtosellyourhome postponed until next week. Something to do with the complaint that has gone to Ofcom I think tweeted Adam Day of Hatched.

Beeny - owner of online agency Tepilo - extensively promotes online agencies in the show although in no episode has she or any other participant named her agency.

Ofcom has confirmed that it has received a complaint, although it has not said where from nor the exact nature of the concern. Its broadcasting code has rules to maintain neutral editorial content.

A statement from Channel 4 some weeks ago said: "Sarah was chosen for her expertise on this type of house selling. We were aware that she had her own company and the contributors were told not to use Tepilo."

Interesting...must be something to do with the Ofcom complaint, surely Would have been nice of Channel 4 or Beeny to give an explanation of some sort, but maybe that's asking too much.
