Hello and welcome back to another edition of Industry Views.

One of our biggest stories this week is the announcement of a new conveyancing portal Veyo, set to launch in 2015.

The portal is being created by tech firm Mastek UK in partnership with the Law Society and will allow conveyancers on both sides of the property transaction to submit and chase' necessary documents.

Veyo aims to provide the opportunity to pinpoint where delays are occurring - one of the biggest frustrations for agents, vendors and buyers for as long as anyone can remember.

Interestingly, by the end of next year, a further release of the portal will allow agents access to the conveyancing details of property transactions they are involved with. Exciting times ahead, watch this space. And in the meantime, read Graham Norwood's full piece on it here - which includes exclusive comment from Veyo chief executive officer Elliott Vigar.

Who better to contribute to Industry Views this week then, than two of the conveyancing industry's most well-known names Mark Riddick and Rob Hailstone take centre stage.

First in a two part series, Mark's piece discusses how we must take advantage of the opportunities that present themselves in our professional lives.

And Rob tells a story which involves a suitcase full of cash and a motorbike - we'll let you read on.

In lettings news, the biggest stores of the week include consumer watchdog Which getting involved in lettings redress by offering draft complaint letters to perturbed tenants and Countrywide's claim that new landlords may have to raise deposits of up to 40%, after the Bank of England has requested more powers to influence lenders' approach towards buy-to-let lending.

Once again, In Profile returns this week featuring David Tate, joint managing director of Davis Tate. He documents his highs and lows of being an agent after leaving a recruitment job to join the property world 35 years ago.

That's it from us, have a great weekend.
