Zoopla has announced the launch of its inaugural seven-a-side charity football tournament for the property industry.
It will take place on June 2 at The Hawthorns – home of Premier League’s West Bromwich Albion, the club sponsored by Zoopla.
The tournament will provide 20 teams of agents and developers from around the country with the chance to compete in group and knockout stages for a place in the final.
The tournament is being fully sponsored by Zoopla, with all proceeds going to the Estate Agency Foundation, which this year is funding a number of homeless charities but not Shelter.
Each squad of players will enjoy the full premier league football experience – meeting and playing with former premier league players, playing on a premier league pitch, with FA approved officials, physios and equipment on hand as well as having full use of the club’s changing room facilities.
The fun will not be limited to the pitch and there will also be various games, challenges and competitions open to spectators and contestants.
This event is expected to be highly competitive, with the winning team taking home a trophy along with associated bragging rights and the satisfaction of being named the best seven-a-side football team in UK residential property. There will also be prizes for Player of the Tournament, Goal of the Tournament and Best Team Kit.
Places are limited to 20 squads of ten and will be drawn from those Zoopla members who register interest before May 10. Entry fee is £200 per squad which will be donated in full to the Estate Agency Foundation.
