Earlier this week the latest report by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors reported an ongoing lack of supply is underpinning the house price recovery. With a lack of new instructions coming on to the market it is essential that agents convert every valuation into an instruction.
estatecreate, the new vendor marketing tool launched earlier this year, has carried out research into the effectiveness of offering vendors their own standalone website for their property.
Their research shows that by offering a potential vendor their own website, an agent is likely to win one more instruction for every 7 valuations they carry out – an increase of 14%.
The findings clearly demonstrated vendor belief in the additional sales impact of a dedicated website and the leverage this would give their appointed agents.
Henry Yates, estatecreate CEO said “When a potential buyer gets sent 4 or 5 links to different properties by an agent, it is natural that the property with its own domain name and standalone site will get more attention.”

Ric - I would normally bow to your insider knowledge, however I can recall only two - maybe three - articles to appear on this website in the last six months that were clearly 'written' by EAT. The rest - like all editorials, emailed for a straight lift to the website. On occasion, a comment is added for effect. Simples! I do not intend to do anyone a disservice - merely stating the obvious. Please share your insight with us - I am always prepared to admit I am wrong...
PeeBee: I know for a fact that EAT doesnt just lift stories - in fact some of their stories have been lifted by others. All stories have sources - but to suggest they are just collating articles is unfounded. They may highlight interesting articles, and add comment, but you do them a disservice.
David. Fully agree with you - however, EAT only publish stories lifted from other media sources. Therefore, it is the words of others not theirs...

What they omit, of course, from their sales pitch, is that pretty much EVERY prospective vendor gets a minimum of two appraisals. So how does that work? Multi listings - which you will then need another miracle system to ensure you sell EVERY ONE of your listings?
