More and more estate agents are using floorplans, both in their particulars and online.
Brian Farrell, from Metropix, tells us that over the last three months there has been a 23% rise in the use of floorplans compared with the first quarter of the year, and a 51% increase over the last quarter of 2008.
He said: “Clearly these figures are not in keeping with stock levels in the market, which strongly suggests that agents are responding to consumer demand by introducing floorplans into their marketing portfolio and/or extending their use of plans to every property.”
The increasing demand for floorplans has been highlighted in recent months by various major players within the industry, with Rightmove reporting that properties marketed with a floorplan attract 30% more interest than those without one
The Digital Property Group also said that consumers consider floorplans to be more important than detailed room descriptions.

So Ray Evans...I guess that you only ever do accompanied viewings with potential buyers on whom you have carried out a criminal records check.
The two previous comments have great merit.
It seems that the purveyors of floor plans have good sales people, as do the purveyors of virtual tour photography - the burglars friend!
Been using floor plans for ten years, makes hardly any differance. Looks good but as said give too much information and buyers don't need to view ... h'mmm isn't that the problem today with web sites like Rightmove. People sit at home, surf and don't want to talk to agents or should I say, they don't see the need to as you've given them all the information to knock on the vendors door ... Wake up everyone and ditch these big property portals .. too much choice. Our house sales went up after leaving Rightmove!
never used them never will. give your buyers to much info they wont view, use your details as a teaser and you will get more sales.
