Local councils are going to double their charges to personal search firms, from £11 to £22 per search, from January 1.
Most councils have been having to use public money to subsidise the cost of every personal search undertaken.

Great news. They will immediately invest the additional revenue (on top of the boost they get by getting a search fee on every home coming on market rather than as before, once a sale was agreed)in more staff and better technology and turn round times will be down to hours, no probably minutes....oh sorry nurse, is it time for my medication? I used to be an estate agent you know....zzzzzzzzzz
